| Here are some sample
project. It is hardly a complete list but is meant to give a
flavor for what I have done.
Ecometry Corporation:
Ecometry's product is available on HP MPE, HP-UX & Windows.
We release a major and minor version of each product each year.
Recently we completed our 7.1 pre release for Windows and UNIX
as well as patches for all of our versions. 7.0 was our largest
release. This included taking our UNIX and Windows product from
version 5.4.3 to synchronize the version number and functionality
with our 7.0 MPE product. This project lasted about 9 months
and involved all of our development, product management and
QA resources plus a team of 25 off-shore developers, modifying
700 programs.
We recently completed 'Bill Me Later', "Card in the box"
and some new gift card functionality. These include external
integration efforts with third parties and can be challenging.
Where is the web services revolution?
My main area of concentration is R&D projects. We have
an entirely new product, which we will announce publicly soon,
written in C#. In addition to this, we have a number of other
R&D projects which we are working on in conjunction with
Microsoft.
LawCommerce.com: Developed
legal industry portal offering pay-per-use forms & agreements,
an electronic marketplace, advertising, online training and
significant content. As the CTO of LawCommerce, my efforts also
included significant internal development, integration with
vendor and strategic partner systems and helping lead an industry
effort to develop technology
standards for legal industry deal collaboration.
Lexis Nexis: As part of a larger strategic partnership, Lexis
entered into partnerships
whereby LawCommerce would power its online video continuing
legal education (CLE) offering and legal industry electronic
marketplace. CLE offering includes membership-oriented,
pay-per use and subscription based access to online video training
for state accreditation. Included integration and custom database
development. Video system includes Windows Media ASF/ASX files
and online course materials, course tracking and catalogs
Pepsi Cola Latin America: Developed and managed a multi-year,
multimillion dollar international technology outsourcing agreement.
I hired and directed a project team which included help desk
staff, network administrators, a DMA and project management
personnel in Florida, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela and Ecuador.
The team supported all of Pepsi Cola International's operations
in Latin America. We established the division's first formal
help desk including selecting help desk software as well as
establishing team budgets, metrics, standards and procedures.
These programs supported hundreds of users. In addition the
engagement included system and software development, network
engineering & support and statistical analysis and reporting
services.
