Prior to The Waldec Group/ IKON Technology Services, I served as
the Technical Manager for MP Technical Services in South Florida.
I gained some recognition as an innovator in the field of outsourced
Information Technology services. Chief among these was the multi-year
outsourcing of services by Pepsi Cola International. This engagement
included development of a NOC and help desk with facilities in Florida,
Argentina, Venezuela, Uruguay and the Caribbean to support users
throughout Latin America. MP Tech also provided technical and staffing
services to organizations including, IBM, Motorola, Nortel, Ericsson,
EDS and others.
Prior to that, I worked as a programmer, network engineer and,
eventually branch manager for a technology services firm in Tampa
Florida. The company was a technology VAR and provided consulting,
network design, hardware repair and application development services
to small and medium sized organizations including manufacturing,
financial and legal concerns in the United States, Argentina, Brazil,
Mexico and the Caribbean. We also constructed RF and infrared point-to-point
network links for commercial, industrial and manufacturing clients.
I graduated from Tulane Universitys A.B. Freeman School of
Business in New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management
in December 1991. To answer the question, no I graduated early,
not late. People see New Orleans and my December graduation date
and assume that I spent too much time at Mardi Gras parades. Actually,
I earned extra credits during a semester studying Economics and
International Management at Cambridge University in Cambridge, England.
While there, I was an intern at British Railways and completed a
project conducting statistical analysis of market research data
which was used to develop significant new programs at the railway.
