| I was recruited by LawCommerce
for the newly created CTO position in October of 2000 following
a successful tenure as Vice President of Technology at Visual
Fire.
Visual Fire was a Miami-based technology company. In addition
to product development efforts surrounding proprietary technology,
the company had a substantial consulting practice producing
Internet, DVD, Kiosk and CD-ROM based convergent media products
and solutions. I was there from day one as part of a core group
of 5 technology and business development managers and helped
grow the company to around 70 staff at its largest point. I
held several positions at Visual Fire including Vice President
of Technology. I was responsible for a number of initiatives
including creation of a large startup consulting practice and
led engagements with established companies including Terra Networks/
Lycos, Disney, Sony, Universo Online, Catalina Lighting and
many others. I also developed Visual Fires project and
consulting methodologies and trained project managers and business
development staff.
Prior to Visual Fire, I served as the Project Manager of the
Advanced Integration Services unit of The Waldec Group, a successful
Value-Added-Reseller and Systems Integrator. While there, the
company was purchased by IKON Technology Services and I stayed
through the transition. I directed pre-sales engineering and
implementation of Internet, LAN/WAN, email, security and software
and network engineering in South Florida. Clients included Visa
International, Citrix, Quaker Oats, Zenith Goldline, IVAX, IBM
SE Credit Union, Triarc Restaurant Group (parent company of
Arby's), Bank Rate Monitor/ Intelligent Life Corporation, Paxson
Communications, Florida Sugar Corp., Bank United FSB and a number
of Am Law 100 law firms.
